About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a NASA requirement for clean storage bottles for photoresist for use in their semiconductor fabrication facility, the Detector Development Lab (DDL).

NASA-GSFC requires 200 100mL and 208 250mL amber round Pyrex storage bottles with screw thread polypropylene caps. The bottles must be cleaned for low particulate and TOC, individually packaged and double bagged in an ISO 5 cleanroom. Bottle cleanliness testing is required on 10 samples from each size. The bottles will support various NASA missions such as ATHENA, EXCLAIM, PRIMA, and HabWorlds Development. NASA intends to award a sole source contract to Acorn Industries, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) as the sole provider of the required clean storage bottles. The period of performance is 6 months from the date of award, with 100% payment upon award. All visitors to the vendor's facility must provide advance notice of U.S. citizenship status.

STATEMENT OF WORK (Sample)

1. Objective/Requirements NASA-GSFC has a requirement for clean storage bottles for photoresist for use in our semiconductor fabrication facility, the Detector Development Lab (DDL). The bottles must be clean to specific particulate testing and appropriately packaged for use in a cleanroom to support various NASA missions, such as ATHENA, EXCLAIM, PRIMA, HabWorlds Development and others. Clean bottles are critical to have for process control and yield to produce semiconductor/MEMS devices.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

a. Vendor to provide the following bottles.

i. 100mL amber round Pyrex storage bottles with screw thread polypropylene cap.

1. Quantity 200

2. Cleaned for low particle and low TOC

3. Individually packaged, double bagged in ISO 5 cleanroom

4. Testing of cleanliness on 10 bottles, cert included

ii. 250 mL amber round Pyrex storage bottles with screw thread polypropylene cap.

1. Quantity 208

2. Cleaned for low particle and low TOC

3. Individually packaged, double bagged in ISO 5 cleanroom

4. Testing of cleanliness on 10 bottles, cert included

b. The bottles will be processed for low particulate. The bottles will have a particulate level of less than 1 particle per mL larger than 10µm when tested with 100mL of filtered DI water.

c. Bottles will be cleaned, depyrogenated, and sterilized using a combination of chemical and thermal methods. Bottles will be cleaned using a proprietary cleaning method which is at the discretion of Acorn Industries to select. A final rinse of the bottles will be performed with water meeting the resistivity, TOC, and endotoxin requirements for Water for Injection.

d. All cleaning processes will be performed in a Class 100 to Class 10,000 or better cleanroom per Fed. Std. 209E (ISO 14644-1 Class 5 to 7).

3. Shipping and Crating

All shipping and crating to be included in price.

DDP preferred.

4. Place of Performance Fabrication will occur at vendor facility.

5. Payment Terms 100% upon award.

6. Period of Performance 6 months, beginning date of award.

7. Visitors

All visitors, which includes sales representatives, field service engineers, training or repair technicians, and others, will provide notice of US Citizenship.

US citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR) will provide 3 days notice prior to visit.

Non-citizens (foreign nationals) will provide 45 days of notice prior to visit.
