STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements NASA is a world recognized leader in space exploration and scientific research.

NASA’s groundbreaking discoveries and public engagement activities across the globe are embodied in its symbols; specifically, the NASA insignia and NASA logotype. Protecting these symbols from misappropriation protects the goodwill that NASA has fostered around the world through its dedication to public engagement in scientific discovery and exploration of outer space. Protecting NASA symbols also allows the public to rely on those symbols as statements of official NASA involvement and the level of scientific rigor, professionalism, integrity, and acceptance that accompanies a world class research and exploration agency. This public reliance is what enables NASA to fully capitalize on the goodwill it has earned from the global community to seek new ideas and new solutions to our toughest problems.
