1.0 Background
NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) operates F-15, F-18, ER-2 aircraft. These aircraft were previously military aircraft. CAD/PAD (Cartridge Actuated Devices/Propellant Actuated Devices) are explosive devices that assure safe and reliable operation of escape and emergency systems for these aircraft. Once these items have reached the end of their service life, they require proper disposal.
Please make the period of performance is through March 2025, as this will be an ongoing process.
2.0 Objectives
The goal is to provide vendors with proper classification of hazard divisions and Department of Defense Identification Code for proper energetic hazard waste stream disposal.
3.0 Requirements
Vendor will provide proper disposal in accordance with all applicable laws.
4.0 Deliverables
Vendor will provide the following:
Inspection Packaging Verification Loading Shipment Disposal Copies of any documents as required showing acceptance of items
5.0 Period of Performance
The period of performance is 1 year. The agreement will be reviewed to update and support funding documents as well as service requirements as required.
6.0 Travel
Vendor will cover all travel expenses for their employees.
7.0 Other Special Requirements and Considerations
To be determined individually for each piece of equipment.
