Requesting Laboratory / Division / Group:
Communications Technology Laboratory Radio Frequency Technology Division High Speed Waveform Metrology Group (672.03)
Scope of Work:
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)/Communications Technology Laboratory (CTL) enables science and industry by providing essential measurement methods, instrumentation, and standards to support all phases of communications technology development. In order to pursue these activities, the RF Technology Division requires repair and calibration of a OML, Inc Model V05VNA2-T/R-A Frequency Extension Module.
Objective(s):
Repair malfunctioning instrument.
General Requirements:
The instrument below requires repair and calibration. Specific issue to be repaired is a failure traced to mixer diodes. The diodes show resistor characteristic instead of the classical diode characteristic when tested with diode curve tracer.
