About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a requirement for the U.S. Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, MD to replace an existing fabric enclosure with a new movable structure. The replacement fabric enclosure will consist of two distinct halves - a stationary half and a moveable half - with specific dimensions of 44' width, 62' overall length, 42' center height, and 36' sidewall height. The structure must be capable of withstanding 60 mph winds, accommodate a 6" snow load, and fully contain blasting and sanding activities while being weatherproof.
Key technical requirements include an 18 oz. translucent white flame-retardant PVC fabric covering, ability to move the moveable half at least 110' away from the stationary half, electronic disappearing doors, steel man doors, and specific accessory placements like duct flanges, exhaust fans, and louvered vents. The contractor must dispose of existing enclosure halves, provide engineering drawings for approval, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and complete installation prior to 2025. Performance will take place at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, with working hours from 0700-1500 Monday through Friday, and the government will provide utilities and emergency services during the project.
