Statement of work to:
Repair, refurbish, and perform all restoration work needed to restore, match the other existing Lantern fixture in front of the Main Building entrance, and make fully functional as it was originally, to the Large 8 foot high by 3 foot wide, Octagon shaped, Bronze Lantern Pier Mounted Light Fixture.
This Bronze fixture was blown off its pier anchor point during Hurricane Zeta, falling approximately 8 feet, and landed on the concrete apron walkway below.
The following work is needed, and will require the following repairs, and careful restoration:
| • | Repair or remake work to the three vents, which will entail the removal from the fixture, remaking the vents in new Silicon Bronze, and then the new vents will be refinished as close as possible to current metal finish. Once work on the vents has been completed, the vents then all be drilled, tapped, and fitted to the existing fixture with Brass screws to match the other existing fixture as close as possible. |
| • | Repair, refit, and solder the large square frame where the glass fits in, along with soldering any remaining openings in the metal due to the fall. |
| • | Straighten and realign the top of the fixture to match the existing fixture, repair, soldered to fit the body of the fixture, and then reattached as required to match the existing other fixture. |
| • | Replace and rewire all electrical items and light sockets and replace with Edison base porcelain sockets. |
| • | Replacement of the of broken or missing side glass panels will be with new Milk laminate double panels to match the other existing fixture to closest degree possible. Provide samples to match up for review and consensus before replacement. |
Return all old unused parts or pieces of materials that have come from the original Lamp fixture or used to repair it, to the Government, SRRC.
Provide a one-year warranty for all workmanship, repairs, and materials used to repair, refurbish, and restoration of this Bronze Lantern fixture complete.
