1.0 ABSTRACT:

1.1 This item describes maintenance of the stern ramp during 3-year maintenance.

3.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION:

3.1 Location/Quantity

3.1.1 Location: Transom deck and dry-dock, frame 82

4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES:

5.0 NOTES:

5.1 The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier must consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine applicability to this work item. In performance of this work item, the contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR’s.

5.2 The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier are advised to review other work items under this contract to determine their effect on the work required under this work item. Many of the definitions relating to performance of this work item are found in Work Item 001.

5.3 Contractor shall furnish all O.E.M. recommended special tools including hydraulic rams, torches and gas, strong backs and associated devices required for removal and reinstallation of ramp/associated parts.

5.4 POP is 08 March 2021 – 22 May – Dry dock dates will be determined just prior to ship yard contract award.

5.5 Location is Far East - likely Singapore

6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None Additional

7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED:

7.1 This statement is for LSS to provide material and labor oversight tin support of 2.5 yr. and 3 year maintenance requirements of the stern ramp system

7.2 Replace port and starboard cable assemblies with new Lake Shore furnished cables. Ensure cables are properly reeved, balanced and connected prior to operating ramp.

7.2.1 Rope end clamps shall be re-torqued upon initial tensioning of rope.

7.3 Ensure the Shipyard performs Prep and paint of the rope shackles, steel winch drum and areas requiring painting shall be Surface prep to SSPC 10 or as directed by MSCREP and apply 2 coats of epoxy primer and 1 coat of epoxy finish grey follow all recommended cure times. Assume a total of 15 square feet will require painting.

7.4 The OEM with assistance from SY will be replacing the Stern Ramp PLC control cabinet with GFM cabinet.

7.4.1 SY shall take possession of the cabinet at earliest opportunity after award and powder coat the cabinet as soon a feasible. Return cabinet to ship and assist OEM in the installation.

7.5 Provide a complete stern ramp hose replacement kit to include fittings, hydro test data tags and certifications.

7.5.1 Supervise and coordinate the change out of all 89 hoses. Prove / demo zero leaks at conclusion. Supervise the change out all hoses.

7.5.2 If required supervise the “rig and flush” of the HYD system to ensure cleanliness. Flushing material and labor to be provided by SY.

7.5.3 Provide densyl tape to re-cover all exposed fittings and tubing as required.

7.6 Furnish a final service report detailing as found conditions and work performed.

8.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

8.1 Lake shore shall provide and replace the accumulator isolation valves.

QTY of 7 valves total to be removed and replaced with CFM (LSS provided)Provide and replace the complete stern ramp rope system and demo after installation as part of the overall annual demonstration for ABS
