About this file
This Statement of Work outlines requirements for the 5-year, 3000-hour boom disassembly and inspection of a Manitowoc/National Crane Model 1400H (Air Force Registration Number 19D00670) for the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom AFB, Montana.
The contractor must completely disassemble the boom for thorough inspection of extend and retract cables, sheaves, and pins. The work includes replacing extend and retract cables, wear pads and shims with OEM-approved parts, followed by lubrication, function testing, and load testing. The contractor must provide a one-year unlimited mileage warranty and include all shipping/handling costs in the total price. While the Air Force will deliver the crane to the repair facility, final acceptance requires inspection by the 341 Missile Wing Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Maintenance representative.
