About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the full enclosure of Coast Guard boat #45619 to facilitate repair work on the underwater hull. The SOW outlines the scope of work, which involves providing and constructing an environmental containment structure and covering to prevent rain and dust from contacting the boat hull during blasting and repainting operations. The containment structure will be approximately 57' x 24' and include a second layer over the back 1/3 of the hull for additional protection. Special C-clips will be used to facilitate the sealing of the shrink wrap to the hull contour. The vendor is required to deliver all consumables to the job site prior to the construction of the containment scaffolding, which may take up to 90 days from the contract award. The SOW also includes instructions for the vendor's quote, such as providing their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number, any credit card service charges, and payment preferences.

6. Shrink wrap must be taped to the hull, both inside and outside of containment to maintain 100% sealing.

7. Uprights of scaffolding will range from 10’ to 12’ to follow the rising contour of the hull. See attached layout map. (Fig 1)

8. Platforms will be installed on the inside of the containment at various heights. See attached layout map for heights and locations. (Fig 1)

9. A rain fly (shrink wrap) will be placed over the back 1/3 of hull and containment to keep out the elements. A metal frame will be provided on the fantail of the RBM-45, vendor to tape shrink wrap to outside of containment. See attached photos for reference. (Fig 2-4)
