The purpose of this project is to conduct a reconnaissance and pedestrian archaeological survey for Section 106 purposes on the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) of 200 acres which will be defined as the Area of Potential Effect (APE). The NTTR has proposed a need to develop Mountain Side Targets for training. These targets will be subject to live fire thus there will be direct impacts to the APE. The actual target area will constitute 150 acres plus a 50 acre buffer totaling 200 acres.
The NFE must be able to pass background security check in order to work on the NTTR. The NFE shall demonstrate their past performances in the Great Basin and Mojave Desert in their proposal. NAFB CRM will act as the NTTR escort for this project.
