SOW for Cellebrite Solutions
Statement of Work (SOW) For Cellebrite Solutions
16 September 2020
1.1 Scope: This requirement is for Cellebrite Software Support and Maintenance on behalf of U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC) as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW).
1.2 Background: USACIDC possesses numerous licenses and versions of Cellebrite’s forensic tools. In addition, USACIDC Agents have been trained on and have used Cellebrite products since 2008. Cellebrite software and devices have been mission critical for the extraction of data from cell phones and mobile devices, providing vital evidence in criminal investigations. Cellebrite products are also cross compatible with other USACIDC forensic platforms and formats. CID needs to renew and add Cellebrite licenses for several of their mobile device solutions.
1.2.1 UFED 4PC Logical software is used to extract logical data (data you could see if you looked at the device) from mobile devices. A UFED 4PC Ultimate is used to extract physical data (data you can see, deleted data, and other data from unallocated space) from mobile devices. The extracted data is used as evidence in criminal investigations. Cellebrite software has been a primary and critical tool used by CID case agents in the field. The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC) began fielding the UFED in 2008. The Cellebrite devices and associated software are mission critical to extract data that may be of evidential value in criminal investigations.
1.2.2 Cellebrite Pathfinder software is used to reduce the time-consuming manual review of digital data. This software uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms to automatically bring the most relevant information to the forefront of an examination. Pathfinder works hand-in-hand with Physical Analyzer to map connections between user accounts, to automatically detect and categorize content within image and video files, to automatically skip to relevant scenes within a video based on predefined categories, and to assist with the review of unusual video formats typically encountered with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance systems.
1.2.3 Cellebrite Premium is an advanced tool used to unlock and extract data from mobile devices. This tool enables agents to access data on high-end mobile devices and obtain vital evidence.
1.2.4 Cellebrite software is the current industry standard for the extraction and analysis of mobile data, used by law enforcement throughout the United States.
