About this file
This document contains a statement of work and notice of intent to sole source a vessel rental contract. The U.S. Coast Guard seeks to rent a vessel of at least 170 feet in length with an open 12x12 foot deck space and at least 15 feet of freeboard to conduct day and night tactical training from March 26th to 30th, 2024 in San Diego, California. The training will involve close quarters combat tactics using simunitions, at-sea insertion via hook and climb and fast rope, and CBRNE scenarios. The vessel must have interior spaces resembling a research vessel with multiple decks and areas including a bridge, engine room, and sleeping cabins. The Coast Guard intends to award a sole source contract to Bold Horizon of San Diego as no other vessels meet specifications and are available on the required dates to ensure members maintain qualifications for maritime response missions. Responses to the notice of intent were due by March 8th, 2024 to be considered for the potential sole source award.
