The project involves removing an existing Weil-McLain GOLD oil-fired water boiler and installing a new propane heating system, including reducing heating zones from 12 to 2, removing the oil tank and boiler, and installing a 500-gallon propane tank. The government will provide key equipment including a Rinnai I-Series Combination Boiler, Combi Prim Sec Heating Kit, Condensate Neutralizer Kit, and temperature controllers.

The contractor is required to be licensed and authorized to service propane heating systems, provide all necessary labor, tools, and materials not furnished by the government, and complete the installation within 30 days after receiving government-furnished equipment. The anticipated timeline includes a 60-day period for equipment procurement, with work to be performed between 0730 and 1500 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. 3) Heater can have zones built in or installed external to the unit and mounted to the wall.

4) Convert the existing 12-zone system to a 2-zone system, with one zone controlling the upstairs and the other controlling the downstairs. Provide any necessary pumps for the system.

5) Provide any needed copper piping to tie new system into the old.

D. Recommended Installation Location:

1) The Government recommends installing the new heating system in the crawl space instead of the existing closet.

E. Inspection and Replacement of Waterlines:
