About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details laboratory supply requirements for a naval research protocol focusing on wound infection and antimicrobial resistance surveillance among active military personnel. The project will be conducted at NAMRU SOUTH in Callao, Peru, and involves establishing a bio-surveillance network for bacterial pathogens, identifying resistance trends, and characterizing microbial species.

The SOW specifies procurement of eight specific laboratory items, including Illumina DNA preparation kits, MiSeq Reagent Kits, microbial DNA extraction kits, swabs, and calibration/testing supplies. Critical logistics requirements include frozen and refrigerated temperature-controlled handling for most items, with a single shipment to be executed immediately upon contract award. The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command, with the specific solicitation number CL250032_LAB_SUPPLIES, targeting laboratory supplies for a 2025 protocol numbered 0003.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. SCOPE

1.1. BACKGROUND

The Protocol titled “Development and implementation of a surveillance platform for wound infections and antimicrobial resistance among active military population for developing interventions” requires for the Centralized Laboratory to determine antimicrobial tests of antibiotics against bacterial pathogens isolated from different surveillances. The Centralized laboratory also requires the ability to identify microbial species present in original patient samples by direct culture.

· Establish a passive bio-surveillance network for bacterial pathogens.

· Identify emerging resistance trends in bacterial pathogens.

· Characterize the genotypic and phenotypic features of bacterial pathogens.

· Establish a strain collection of bacterial pathogens that are available to additional research efforts.

2. REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Location of work / Place of delivery: NAMRU SOUTH – Callao, Peru

2.2. Period of performance / Delivery time

· Supplies should be delivered as soon as contract is awarded.

2.3. Deliverables schedule (if applicable)

· One installment:

Only one shipment: must be executed upon award signature.
