About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) issued by the Department of the Air Force, specifically the 187th Fighter Wing (ANG) in Montgomery, Alabama, detailing an annual inspection and weight testing contract for hoists and cranes. The solicitation covers comprehensive inspection services for (11) total hoists and cranes across three military facilities: the 187th Fighter Wing at 5187 Selma Hwy, the 232nd Combat Communications Squadron at 3090 Thomason Ave, and the 280th Special Operations Communications Squadron at 207 Wallace Drive in Dothan, for Fiscal Year 2024. The inspections are to be completed during March 2025, with no site visit required, and vendors must provide a written report for each hoist and crane inspected, including all necessary repairs, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
The contract requires vendors to quote a single, all-inclusive price covering labor, equipment, materials, and travel costs for testing and certification at all locations on an "all or none" basis. Vendors must comply with base, local, state, and federal environmental and occupational safety laws, and have appropriate credentials for military facility access, including a driver's license and vehicle insurance. Base access is permitted Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with Senior Master Sergeant Phillip Cosby serving as the point of contact. The vendor will be responsible for removing salvage materials daily and performing work without disrupting base operations. Invoices for payment should be submitted to the 187th FW/CEO, with all salvage material removed from the work site on a daily basis.
