About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details crane services required by the Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch (AVTB) for testing the Amphibious Combat Vehicle Recovery Variant (ACV-R) at Camp Pendleton, CA. The project involves procuring a crane capable of lifting and statically suspending the ACV-R to determine its Vertical Center of Gravity (VCG) and Longitudinal Center of Gravity (LCG), with the vehicle weighing approximately 71,000 lbs (not to exceed 100,000 lbs).
Key requirements include providing a crane, crane operators, two sets of unequal-length cables/slings (30 ft and 40 ft), and supporting the testing for up to 5 days (with an actual need of 2 days) between 7 August 2025 and 6 July 2026. The contractor must comply with OSHA requirements, complete base access forms, and ensure no foreign nationals are involved. The test will be postponed if wind speeds exceed 5 mph, and the work will be conducted at Building 210536 on Kraus Street, Camp Pendleton, with normal work hours from 0700-1630 daily.
