About this file
This Statement of Work outlines requirements for providing Facilitated Analytic Writing training courses to the 363 Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing (ISRW) at Langley AFB, VA. The contractor must deliver five virtual training sessions via Microsoft Teams: four Analytic Writing 200 (Intermediate) courses and one Analytic Writing 300 (Advanced) course, plus an on-demand Writing 101 CBT module. Each course should accommodate 15-20 students.
The training sessions will run from January to August 2025, with specific dates scheduled for each course. The contractor must provide electronic course materials in PDF format and cover topics including analytical writing characteristics, theoretical concepts, evidence evaluation, and argument synthesis. Training hours are 0800-1700 Monday through Friday. Students will be placed in TDY status to ensure availability for coursework and virtual office hours. The training aims to address an identified gap in USAF intelligence writing skills, specifically focused on teaching advanced writing capabilities to less experienced intelligence analysts beyond their technical school training.

2. Background. The 363 ISRW A2 has identified a gap in USAF intelligence training pertaining to intelligence writing skills. The 363 ISRW is heavily dependent on military members to conduct high level research, analysis and writing for our product lines. The biggest gap the Wing is encountering is related to teaching less experienced intelligence analysts more advanced writing skills then they have received in technical school.
3. Importance of the SOW. The contractor shall provide professional training on the topic of Analytical Writing. The government shall ensure students are available and have access to the course. To ensure the students are available to accomplish homework or virtually visit the instructors for office hours mentorship between the morning and afternoon sessions, the government will place students in a TDY status and / or be released from competing duties.
