About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) addressing a technical issue with an A10 Cylinder on a vessel. The document outlines a service requirement for a vendor to troubleshoot and replace/align fuel injection assemblies for the NR2 MDE (Marine Diesel Engine) while the cutter is dockside, with additional support during a June shakedown period. The period of performance is from May 14th to June 11th, with LCDR Kavanaugh serving as the primary unit point of contact.
Key requirements include the vendor completing System Award Management (SAM) registration prior to contract issuance, with submitted bids requiring a detailed cost breakdown covering labor, materials, transportation, overhead, and general and administrative expenses. The opportunity is characterized as a sole-source special notice under the Department of Homeland Security's US Coast Guard, targeting resolution of recurring high-temperature alarms on the vessel's engine system that previous troubleshooting efforts by ship's forces and the Naval Engineering Directorate (NED) have been unable to resolve.
