About this file

This Statement of Work outlines requirements for elevator modernization in Building 15 at Joint Base Langley-Fort Eustis. The project involves comprehensive upgrades to meet current safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency standards, including ADA and ANSI compliance. Key components include installing a new submersible pump unit, non-proprietary microprocessor controller, hoistway equipment upgrades, ADA-compliant hall call stations, and car operating panel with emergency systems.

The modernization timeline requires material procurement within 20-24 weeks after award, followed by a 5-week installation period. Work must be performed during standard business hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday). The contractor must provide a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship. The opportunity is being solicited under FAR Part 13 with Davis Bacon wage rates applying, and interested contractors should contact MSgt Nicholas Hazelett at the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The project scope encompasses machine room updates, hoistway improvements, hallway modifications, and elevator car modernization, with final testing and inspections required for acceptance.
