SOURCES SOUGHT – TISABAS Motorized Conveyor Belt at Travis AFB, CA FA442724QZ071
60th Contracting Squadron Travis AFB, CA Submitted 28 August 2024 Responses Due: 4 September 2024, 1:00 PM Pacific Time
REQUIREMENT
60 APS/TROP
The 60th APS/TROS has a requirement for The TISABAS, a compact, motorized folding conveyor system that goes into the belly of commercial aircraft and mechanically moves baggage and cargo on and off. It was designed to limit the damage done to individuals' knees and backs when loading baggage and cargo into the bellies of commercial aircraft. Up to three to six aircraft are deployed in locations, and here at Travis AFB, we have a rotator that comes in with passengers from Hawaii and takes passengers to Hawaii as well.
That would equate to forty-eight missions requiring us to go into the three-foot belly of the aircraft, lifting fifty-plus pound bags throughout the belly of the plane. The TISABAS or a similar product would drastically reduce the number of injuries by fifty-seven-point eight percent, cutting back and knee injuries in the career field of air transportation. Ramper Innovations has recorded that the TISABAS reduces damage done to baggage and aircraft reducing damage by five thousand dollars per aircraft. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333922 - Conveyor and Conveying Equipment Manufacturing.
