About this file
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for market research purposes regarding a modernized Main Landing Gear Integrated Maintenance & Integrity Tester (M-LIMIT) system. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is seeking to identify capable vendors, including the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or license holders, to provide a complete modernized testing system to replace two previously provisioned testers—one damaged beyond repair and one outdated.
The required deliverables include: a modernized Main Landing Gear Tester (Part Number E72439-001) with user manual; a modernized Hydraulic Cabinet Assembly (Part Number 184000-715-100) with user manual; and a comprehensive tool kit for MLG door actuators encompassing sizing rings, swaging tools, installation bullets, holding and set fixtures, retracted/extended length test gauges, electrical test sets (proximity box), torque wrench and adapter sets, spring testers, and Operations & Maintenance and Calibration manuals. The contractor must provide on-site training and assembly at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. Respondents must demonstrate in-house engineering expertise and documented corporate experience in providing on-site training, assembly, and follow-on support. Responses limited to 10 pages, single-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font, must be submitted electronically to the Procurement Contracting Officer (Garrett Chase, garrett.chase@us.af.mil) or Contract Specialist (Matthew Dunsmore, matthew.dunsmore.1@us.af.mil) at AFLCMC/WBK-2 (B-2), Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, no later than Wednesday, 24 June 2026 at 5:00 PM CT. Responses must include company name, address, CAGE code, and Unique Entity ID; pricing information is not requested and will not be considered. 2. BACKGROUND
The USG previously provisioned two similar testers for this fleet. One has since been damaged beyond repair, and the other is outdated and requires replacement. This acquisition seeks to find the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or other sources that hold the license or rights to produce this product.
The core objective is to modernize the test stand to reduce repair and test times for the MLG door actuators, thereby addressing long wait times and a single point of failure for testing. This will establish a sustainable, multi-test capability for the remainder of the weapon system's life.
3. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS
The Government requires a vendor to provide the materials listed in Section 1 and to deliver on-site training. The contractor shall have the capability to provide the USG with a new and modernized Main Landing Gear Tester, including all specified components, manuals, and tool kits.
4. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES & SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be considered a viable source for this requirement, respondents must demonstrate, in detail, that they possess all the following mandatory qualifications. Failure to provide a response that substantiates experience in every required capability will result in the respondent being deemed not qualified. Generic capability statements or marketing materials are not acceptable.
• Engineering and Data Acquisition Expertise: Describe the in-house engineering workforce and provide evidence of demonstrated corporate experience in the following area:
• Providing on-site training, assembly of the Main Landing Gear Tester (Test Stand), and follow-on support as needed.
5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION
• Responses must be submitted electronically to the Points of Contact (POCs) listed below no later than Wednesday, 24 June 2026 at 5:00 PM CT.
• The Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO) will provide a DoD SAFE link upon request for the submission of responses.
• Responses shall be limited to 10 pages, single-spaced, using a 12-point Times New Roman font.
• Please include the company name, address, CAGE code, and Unique Entity ID.
• Do not submit proposals. Pricing information is not requested and will not be considered.
• All information submitted should be unclassified
