About this file
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command (AFLCMC/EBHKB) for F-22 thermal batteries. The synopsis (FD2020-26-50017) is market research to identify potential sources and determine acquisition strategy for thermal battery components, specifically National Stock Numbers 1377-01-515-5924ES (Thermal Battery) and 1377-01-587-3591ES (Battery, Thermal). The proposed NAICS code is 325920 (Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing) with a 750-employee size standard. The Government is actively seeking responses from all small businesses, including 8(a) concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses, HUBZone-certified firms, and Women-Owned small business concerns, and requests that respondents identify their small business status and any anticipated teaming arrangements.
Interested parties must provide relevant experience performing engineering, manufacturing, remanufacturing, inspection, and testing of similar egress components within the past three years, along with company profile information including employee count, office locations, CAGE code, DUNS number, and small business designation. The Government will not provide reimbursement for response costs or funding for second source qualification efforts. Offerors must possess access to all necessary manufacturing data, as the U.S. Government does not own or hold rights to the required data. This synopsis is not a solicitation but rather a preliminary market research effort to inform the eventual solicitation strategy.
