About this file

This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for F-15 SMDC Cord Explosive Cord Sets issued by the Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command (AFLCMC/EBHKB). The Government is conducting market research to identify responsible sources and determine procurement strategy for two explosive cord set components: National Stock Number (NSN) 1377-01-333-9317ES (Explosive Cord Set, Escape System) and NSN 1377-01-069-7777ES (Explosive Cord Set SMDC). The proposed NAICS Code is 325920 with a size standard of 750 employees, and the Government is particularly interested in small business concerns, including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small businesses. Interested parties should identify their small business status, anticipated teaming arrangements with clear delineation of prime versus partner responsibilities, and describe similar services provided to Government and commercial customers over the past three years.

Prospective offerors must demonstrate relevant experience performing engineering, manufacturing, remanufacturing, inspection, and testing of similar egress components within the last three years and provide company profile information including employee count, office location, CAGE Code, DUNS Number, and small business designation. No reimbursement will be provided for response costs or second source qualification efforts. Offerors must possess access to all appropriate data required for manufacturing, as the U.S. Government does not own or have rights to the necessary proprietary data. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation.
