About this file

This is a Sources Sought notice for surgical waste management services. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), is seeking qualified contractors to provide maintenance, diagnostics, inspection, parts exchange, retrofit, and repair services for surgical waste management equipment. The equipment is currently installed and operational within the Main Operating Room (MOR) and Cardiovascular Department at WRNMMC. This pre-solicitation notice indicates that DHACA is in the market research phase to identify potential sources capable of supporting these specialized medical equipment services before issuing a formal solicitation.

The notice does not specify contract vehicles, award dates, pricing terms, or response deadlines in the available information. Interested contractors should monitor the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) or SAM.gov for the official solicitation release, which will contain detailed requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions. This opportunity appears targeted to contractors with expertise in surgical waste management equipment maintenance and repair within military medical facility environments.
