About this file
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) issued by the Defense Logistics Agency at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, to conduct market research for potential manufacturing and supply sources in support of the Patriot Weapons System. The SSS covers multiple items across various National Stock Numbers (NSNs) and does not constitute an actual solicitation; no solicitation is currently available and responses are strictly voluntary with no funding available for response preparation.
The document identifies five items requiring qualified sources: four items in Table 1 (Accumulator, Refrigeration; Circuit Card Assemblies; Cable Assembly, Power, Electrical; and another Circuit Card Assembly) and one item in Table 2 (Synthesizer, Electric). All items are subject to CAGE code 05716 and carry an Approved Manufacturer Code (AMC) of 3C, meaning acquisition must be directly from the actual manufacturer with engineering source approval. Prequalification requirements are mandatory for award eligibility. The estimated response date is 3 days, though this may be adjusted based on solicitation release. Interested firms, including 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns, should seek source approval by contacting usarmy.redstone.devcom-avmc.mbx.amr-ss-sar@mail.mil. Contractors must manage all aspects of manufacturing and production, including supply chain management, logistics, parts forecasting, procurement, and final delivery. Foreign firms must process requests through their respective embassies. Table 2 may be procured for a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) effort.
