About this file

This Sources Sought notice is issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support (DLATS), Clothing & Textiles (C&T) to conduct market research for Shell Fabric used in the Marine Corps All Weather Coat. The document seeks to identify potential domestic and non-domestic manufacturers, with a preference for U.S.-based companies using domestic components. Interested vendors must be registered in SAM and are required to provide detailed information including company profile, production capacity, minimum order quantities, labor pool availability, production lead times, and raw material supply situation.

Respondents must submit responses to Earl Joyner and Alan Cure, addressing eight specific questions about their manufacturing capabilities. The specification for the shell fabric is MIL-DTL-32768, and while non-domestic manufacturing will be considered, imported cloth must meet exact specification requirements. This is not a solicitation for proposals, and the government will not reimburse provided information. Participating vendors will be added to the solicitation mailing list, with the understanding that vendor participation does not guarantee future business opportunities.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support (DLATS), Clothing & Textiles (C&T), is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Shell Fabric used in the Marine Corps All Weather Coat. Further market research may occur before any solicitation. The Government will not reimburse the information provided.
