About this file

This Sources Sought Questionnaire is a market research document issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) for a water main infrastructure project at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Jesup, Georgia. The project involves tapping into an existing 12-inch ductile iron water main, reducing it to a 6-inch pipe to supply water to a new water softener system, which requires excavation, valve installation, underground tie-ins, and penetrating a metal building wall. The solicitation (Number 15B30725PR000102) seeks to identify potential contractors capable of completing the work within a 95-calendar-day performance period, with an estimated project cost between $250,000 and $500,000.

Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), respond by August 4, 2025, to sdennison@bop.gov, and be prepared to submit responses addressing capabilities, business size (small business standard is $45.0 million for NAICS code 237110), potential subcontracting levels, small business program eligibility, project timeline suitability, and proposal preparation timeframe. The solicitation will be distributed exclusively through sam.gov, and all individuals working on-site must undergo a security clearance investigation that may take an additional 15 calendar days to complete.
