About this file
This Sources Sought Questionnaire is issued by Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, seeking interested contractors for USS Aircraft Carriers, Nuclear Propulsion (CVN) Ship Repair, Maintenance, Modernization, and Overhaul at Yokosuka, Japan. The solicitation targets companies with significant experience in ship maintenance, repair, ship alteration/modernization, advanced planning, and execution of scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance for naval surface ships, specifically nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.
The questionnaire requires detailed responses demonstrating corporate capabilities across multiple technical domains, including shipfitting, welding, pipefitting, machinist/mechanical work, electrical and electronics systems, rigging, architecture and engineering services, painting/sandblasting, quality assurance, and testing. Potential contractors must show recent experience repairing and constructing surface ship systems, with satisfactory past performance on jobs of similar magnitude and complexity. The document seeks to assess contractor capabilities before issuing a formal solicitation, with companies required to provide narrative explanations of their technical and project management skills, subcontractor management experience, and capability to execute complex ship repair tasks at the Ship Repair Facility-Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC).
