About this file
This is a Sources Sought Notice for a Power Supply component for the M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tank. The Government is seeking information on potential alternate sources for part number 57K7317 (NSN 6130-01-674-7138) with a quantity requirement of 244 units. The Power Supply is a critical circuit card within the Mission Control Unit that converts the vehicle's prime power to an isolated and regulated 26Vrms 400Hz alternating output for the tank's electrical system. The proposed contract vehicle is a 5-Year IDIQ, and responses are due by 30 July 2026.
The Government currently lacks suitable drawings for competitive procurement, as the Technical Data Package is fully defined but data rights are restricted. This market research survey is published in compliance with FAR Part 10 and does not constitute a formal request for proposals; submission of information is voluntary with no Government financial responsibility for response costs. Contractors interested in becoming approved sources must meet the Source Approval Program requirements, including vehicle-level qualification testing at their own expense. The TACOM Life Cycle Management Command's Competition Management Office serves as the lead proponent for the Source Approval Program, with additional information available at https://tacom.army.mil/ through the Ombudsman contact.
