About this file
This is a Sources Sought Notice issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), to identify qualified vendors for advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. The FDA is seeking information on potential sources capable of providing a complete semiautomatic Aerosol Propellant Filler system for pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDI) to support pharmaceutical manufacturing research. This notice is for market research and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, commitment to contract, or promise to issue a future Request for Proposal.
The required system must include a pressure filler with adjustable dosing cylinders (0.5–20 ml), stainless steel AISI 316L components, and compatibility with 20 mm valve systems; a crimper system (Model 2002/021 or equivalent) with adjustable crimp and container heights; a digital crimp height measuring gauge with 0.01 mm resolution; and a propellant pump system (Model 2008/100 or equivalent) with 15 liters per minute capacity and 2,000 kPa maximum outlet pressure compatible with liquified propellants. Additional deliverables include spare parts, maintenance tools, material certificates, comprehensive operator training for up to six personnel, Factory Acceptance Testing and validation support, and a minimum one-year warranty with onsite repair service. The system must be delivered within 90 calendar days of contract award to the FDA's Silver Spring, Maryland facility. Interested vendors must submit responses using the provided SSN Response Form by April 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM to Michele Jackson at Michele.Jackson@fda.hhs.gov, providing company information, technical capability details, delivery capabilities, and relevant experience with similar pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. The Government will not reimburse response costs, and no contract will be awarded from this notice.
