About this file
This Sources Sought Notice is a market research document issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to identify potential vendors for an Aluminum Effusion Cell. The notice seeks capability statements from businesses of all sizes, with a specific focus on small business set-aside opportunities under NAICS code 333242 (Semiconductor Machinery Manufacturing). Interested companies are requested to submit a four-page electronic capability statement including details such as company name, manufacturing location, product specifications, lead times, and other relevant information.
NIST is conducting preliminary market research to determine the acquisition approach and potential small business participation. If at least two qualified small businesses are identified, the procurement will be set aside for small businesses. However, NIST is open to responses from all responsible sources. The document emphasizes that this is not a Request for Quotation or a commitment to award a contract, but rather a tool to gather market intelligence before potentially issuing a solicitation on the System for Award Management (sam.gov). Responses should be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Matthew Delgado, via email, with company sales brochures explicitly not being considered.
