About this file

This is a Sources Sought notice issued by the Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) to conduct market research regarding the procurement of the Medistim MiraQ Ultimate System. The notice was posted on August 5, 2026, with responses due by August 12, 2026. The requirement falls under Product or Service Code 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies) and NAICS Code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The MiraQ Ultimate System is a surgical tool for intraoperative assessment that combines imaging, flow measurement, pressure measurement, and auxiliary functions in one unit, with the capability to measure flow while utilizing ultrasound imaging.

The procurement includes one MiraQ Ultimate System unit along with various accessories: six different probe types (2mm through 6mm, autoclave-compatible with handles, two each), one L15 High Frequency Image Probe, one EKG Cable, one Pressure Cable, and shipping and handling. Respondents must provide company name, point of contact information, DUNS and CAGE codes, small business status with certifications, prime or subcontractor interest, details of teaming arrangements if applicable, and relevant experience on similar requirements. The government specifically encourages small business participation across all socioeconomic categories and notes that a set-aside will only be possible if two or more small businesses respond with capability information. This notice is for information and planning purposes only; no quotes, bids, or proposals are being solicited at this time, and submittals will not be returned.
