SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY)
Missouri National Scenic River Mulberry Bend Overlook Trail, Overlook, Parking Lot Construction (Reference 140P6321B0006)
The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of contractors for a possible upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of this market survey.
Prime contractors interested in working to replace existing concrete trail and parking with a new accessible concrete trail and overlook with accessible parking in compliance with ABA, to include to include management of overall project and subcontractors, should provide a response. The work will be completed at the Missouri National Recreational River, Mulberry Bend Overlook, located on the South side of the Missouri River along Highway 15 approximately 5 miles South of Vermillion, SD. The project area is open to the public.
The NAICS code for this project is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16.5M. The Magnitude of Construction anticipated is between $250,000 and $500,000. Interested contractors should also consider their bonding capacities when responding.
Overview: This project will include all mobilization, work, labor, and materials to complete this work to include Prime/Subcontracting oversight as follows:
Work includes construction of new reinforced concrete access path and asphalt parking, concrete curb and gutter with accessible curb ramp and pavement markings meeting ABA requirements located at South side of River. Work includes preparation of surfaces to support concrete and asphalt paving, viewing area wall stone masonry work, placement of reinforced concrete sewer/storm drainage pipe and fittings, ground preparation and native and turfgrass seeding. Appropriate erosion control measures will be utilized during construction. The government may include an option for demolition of an upper trail area/stairs and stabilization of disturbed areas. It is anticipated that work will commence sometime in July/August timeframe with 90 calendar days to complete all construction activities prior to winter.
