SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUOTATION
BUT INFORMATION, PLANNING AND POSTING PURPOSES ONLY! This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is F4BWB02200AW01 and shall be used to reference any written responses to this source sought. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed 334516. Size standard: # of Employees 1000.
Product Description: Finder Telescopes
REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION:
This USAFA requirement is for thirteen finder telescopes. Telescopes shall be refracting finder telescopes. The resulting image shall be flat without additional optical correction necessary between the optical assembly and the camera. Adjustable back focus shall be included as well. Optical tube assembly (OTA) only is acceptable for this telescope as the mount and/or tripod are not necessary for this purchase due to the finder scope being mounted to existing Falcon Telescope mounts.
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS/REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Shall be a refracting telescope
2. Minimum aperture size of 106 mm
3. Maximum focal ratio of f/5
4. Minimum limiting magnitude of 11.5
5. Maximum mass of 7.5 kg
6. Minimum telescope field of view of 9 degrees
7. Maximum resolution 1.1 arc second
8. Shall have an integrated image flattener
9. Shall have an adjustable back focus
Include in your capabilities package/email your UEI/Cage Code, and System for Award Management expiration date, and any related specifications/drawings.
We are interested in any size business that is capable of meeting this requirement.
Market research is being conducted to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for the requirement.
All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that overtly demonstrates company capabilities-indicating examples of commercial sales-and product specifications related to this effort.
Also indicate if you are the manufacturer, or provide the name and size of the manufacturer of the product(s) you will be supplying. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated us of foreign national employees on this effort.
In accordance with (IAW) 41 U.S.C. Chapter 83 and as implemented by FAR Subpart 25.1, the Buy American Act applies to this acquisition. Respondents are requested to indicate if their products are manufactured in the United States or outside of the United States.
Respondents may provide, if any, additional feedback that would help us provide more clarity within the requirement/promote further competition
