About this file

This Sources Sought document is for the 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis AFB seeking a high-performance Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), specifically the Skydio X10D or equivalent, manufactured in the United States. The requirement is for a lightweight, mobile, and rapidly deployable drone to support base defense mission tasks such as incident management, perimeter security checks, damage assessments, and alarm activations. The UAS must include an all-environment starter solution with a multi-band IR camera, instructor and in-person training, and a 12-month equipment warranty.

The detailed technical specifications require a drone with specific camera (FLIR Boson + radiometric module), radio (point-to-point wireless with 7.5-mile line of sight), GNSS capabilities, and security features. This Sources Sought is targeted at small businesses, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms, Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Woman-Owned Small Businesses. Responses are due by 23 July 2025 at 1:00 PM Pacific Time, with vendors required to submit business information, capabilities, and contact details via email to specified Air Force points of contact. REQUIREMENT

60 SFS

Description: In accordance with Presidential Executive Order (Unleashing American Drone Dominance) and Air Mobility Command TASKORD 25-XXX, the 60 SFS requires a high performance UAS manufactured in the United States to begin replacing programs which will be more cost efficient or lethal when replaced with UAS. The Skydio X10D is a Blue listed lightweight, highly mobile, and rapidly deployable UAS. The Skydio X10D can be deployed straight out of the box without the need for the Installation to provide or plan for sustainment considerations (take off/landing sites, shore power, etc.).

UAS can be used for incident management, perimeter security checks, damage assessments, alarm activations, and other base defense mission essential tasks. The use of UAS, specifically the Skydio X10D in any of the previously listed mission sets allows the Defense Force Commander to more effectively use very limited manpower in the overall defense of TAFB and tenant units.

The contractor shall provide the following:

Quantity (2).

3. GNSS: Must be GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO patch antennas tuned to 70*70mm ground plane, working at

1575.42MHz and 1602MHz, with 4.27dBi gain and 4.63dBi gain. Use less than 38mW power consumption without compromising GNSS performance. Spoofing and jamming detection capability.
