This is not a request for quotes; the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only.

This Sources Sought Notice is being conducted by the Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 at 124 E HWY 67 Suite 100, Duncanville, Texas 75137 to identify sources that are capable of providing Lion R.A.C.E. Station Extinguisher Training Simulator Procurement and Installation.

Specification requirements: BRAND NAME. Lion R.A.C.E. Station Extinguisher Training Simulator.

Background: The North Texas Veterans Health Care System (VANTHCS), Radiation Safety in Dallas, TX has a requirement to purchase 2(ea.) Brand name only Lion R.A.C.E. Station Extinguisher Training Simulator, The simulators are essential to enhance the fire safety training program at the Dallas VA Medical Center. This effort is driven by the need to improve fire safety awareness and response capabilities among staff and patients. The simulator will provide hands-on training opportunities, complementing existing fire safety protocols and procedures. This encompasses the procurement, delivery, and installation of a Lion R.A.C.E.

Station Extinguisher Training Simulator at the Dallas VA Medical Center. The scope also includes training sessions for staff members on the proper use of the simulator and integration into existing fire safety training programs.

Warranty and Support: The warranty and support must cover all components of the requirement in accordance with standard manufacturer’s commercial warranty

2. The intent of this notice is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following:

b. DISTRIBUTORS: You must provide proof that you are an authorized distributor. VA does not accept gray market items.

Equivalent products may not be accepted. Offerors that propose Equivalent products may not be considered during the acquisition process.

3. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small

Business Manufacturers. If your company is a small business manufacturer or distributor, please respond to this notice.

4. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses.

The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation. (e.g. if CO determines that capable small businesses cannot provide fair and reasonable pricing, then the solicitation will not be set-aside).
