Dyess AFB located in Abilene, Texas, is seeking potential sources capable of providing RAM35E ACGIH GEN-3 blast cabinets that will support current and future mission readiness requirements. This equipment is required for rapid finish system removal from aircraft parts and enables a complete inspection process to identify any potential catastrophic failures. Without this equipment, 7 EMS will not be able to conduct paint removal processes, and all items will have to be sent to off-site agencies for paint removal and inspection.

Dyess AFB requires the brand Aerospace Facilities Group Inc. (AFG) for this requirement in order to reduce the time and monetary costs of the associated training and maintenance. 7 EMS currently own AFG blasting cabinets and blast room. Active contracts for this equipment and maintenance and can be found on Contracts FA466120C0024 and FA466120P0069. Due to these existing contracts, it is economical and in the best interest of the Government to seek the AFG brand.
