Sources Sought Announcement for: Obsolescence Parts Substitution of the AN/ASN-157 Doppler Navigation Set

Robert Liang, robert.liang2.civ@army.mil, (443) 395-6392

This is a market survey to locate sources to mitigate the obsolescence of several parts within the AN/ASN-157 Doppler Navigation Set, herein known as the DNS. The DNS is installed and operated on the Army fleet of AH-64D/E Apache Helicopters. The Government intends to mitigate the obsolescence of several parts within the DNS to insure continued supply.

The NSNS for the systems are as follows:

System NSN: PN

DNS 6055-01-323-9061 P510A003-02

BAE Systems Corporation is the current source for the manufacture and repair of the DNS. The DNS is proprietary to BAE Systems Corporation. Any sources capable of mitigating the obsolescence must demonstrate they have had past experience with the DNS in the areas of system design, interface requirements, test and fault isolation, project parts/material usage and must have the necessary test equipment. Any responses must also show that the products will be able to obtain airworthiness release certification and will perform satisfactorily when used in its intended purpose by the U.S. Army.

The government does not possess the technical data package that defines form, fit and function of the Units. As such, the technical data package is not available for release.

Suppliers with the means of mitigating the obsolescence for the parts within the DNS must indicate so by writing to the C5ISR ES&I Avionics Branch, robert.liang2.civ@army.mil. All responses must be submitted by COB 4:30pm EST June 18, 2024. This market survey does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it guarantee one.
