SOURCES SOUGHT: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The National Park Service is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of any firm eligible to compete in full and open competition under NAICS code 238140 with a Small Business Size Standard $2 M for an upcoming requirement for the Rehabilitate Masonry Facilities at Jamaica Bay of the Gateway National Recreation area, Brooklyn, New York 11693

Project Description: Work includes masonry resetting and repointing, block window restoration, vent repair, lintel replacements, door replacements, window installation, roof rehabilitation, and removal of encroaching vegetation including woody vegetation. Vegetation has encroached on facilities due to a lack of maintenance. The masonry in these facilities is in a degraded state, and this allows for water to infiltrate structures that house electrical equipment. The steel lintels above the windows and doors are corroded, and the more voluminous rust is pushing the bricks out of place destroying the structure. Repairing the masonry, windows, doors, and lintels will restore the ability of the structure to repel water and safely house the electrical equipment. Vegetation has encroached on facilities due to a lack of maintenance, and some vegetation removal will be required. Removing the encroaching vegetation around the facility will enable the facility to be durable in the future and discourage wildlife from using the electrical facility as a house.

Magnitude of Construction estimate: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.******
