A. Objective:

To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation.

B. The system shall meet the following salient characteristics:

· Shall be capable of automated analysis of a variety of samples.

· Shall be capable to utilize both commercially prepared enzymes and reagents for standardized assays as well as user prepared enzymes and reagents for enzyme assay development.

· Shall be capable of colorimetric end-point, turbidimetric, kinetic, and bichromatic reactions without the need for repetitive sample blanking.

· Shall be capable to define and control incubator/chamber temperature as well as incubation time for individual samples.

· Shall be capable to stabily maintain incubation temperatures between 25 and 60 degrees Celsius.

· Shall be capable to contain at least 90 samples and 30 reagents.

· Shall be capable of performing at least 150 tests per hour.

· Shall be capable to use sample and reagent volumes less than 240 microliters.

· Shall be capable of disposable cuvettes or reaction cells to eliminate washing and sample carry over.

· Shall be capable to optically detect wavelengths from 340 nanometers to 880 nanometers.

· Shall be capable to measure sample potential of hydrogen pH, and conductivity.

· Shall be capable to measure at least ten (10) chemical parameters per sample.

· Shall be capable to measure over a wide concentration range with sensitivity down to the parts per billion.

· Shall be capable of automatic sample/standard dilution on the instrument for the generation of calibration curves and dilution of overly concentrated samples.

· Shall be capable of automated standard addition for analysis in complex sample matrices.

· Shall be compatible with manufacturer, third party, and user supplied reagents and enzymes.

· Shall include pre-defined methods for common assays (e.g. pH) and allow for automated method development of user assays.

· Shall include system control and analysis software with run scheduling functionality to automatically analyze samples based on user definer parameters.

· Shall include instrument computer to control instrument functions, run instrument software and collect and analyze sample data.

· Shall include at least two (2) years of remote technical/instrument support.

· Shall include all shipping and handling costs to delivery location.
