About this file

This document is a Market Survey for Inspection and Overhaul of Chill Water Units issued by N104C on 15 September 2025. The survey covers the comprehensive inspection, cleaning, and overhaul of five Carrier Model 30HXS-146R-6-KA Chill Water Units, with detailed requirements for a qualified Carrier AC Service Representative. Key work elements include conducting an initial condition inspection, thoroughly disassembling and cleaning unit components, performing Eddy Current tests on condenser tubes, replacing o-rings, gaskets, filters, and valves, and conducting refrigerant leak tests.

The survey requires the contractor to provide separate line-item pre-pricing for specific tasks such as replacing condenser tubes, rebuilding the compressor and motor, and installing system drier ball valve service ports. Additional requirements include comprehensive reporting, with the contractor mandated to submit electronic PDF reports documenting the unit's condition, work performed, and any discrepancies, including photographic evidence. The units must be preserved according to OEM specifications, cleaned, painted, and re-crated for international shipping, with specific stenciling and moisture protection requirements. This is a request for information only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for quotes.
