SUBJECT: Puchner Model 6000 Bassoon
The Government is only conducting market research and attaining information to identify potential contractors that are able to provide all items listed below. The Government is requesting industry to provide feedback to the questions below to determine how to best proceed with procuring the required items. All information provided is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR SOLICITATION FOR AN OFFER; therefore, in accordance with FAR 15.201(c) any responses to this inquiry will not constitute nor will be considered as a contractor offer, and no award will be issued as a result of this inquiry. This information will be used by the 502 CONS/JBKCB for market research purposes only, and the submitted information will not be returned. Submitted information will be protected in accordance with DoDD 5400.11, Department of Defense Privacy Program, and DoD 5400.11-R, Department of Defense Privacy Program, and no feedback will be provided regarding submissions, or the total number of submissions received. Interested parties are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this request for information, as the government is not liable for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request.
The purpose of this RFI is to query the market for potential interested, capable, responsible, and qualified commercial small business offerors that can provide/perform the stated requirement. The government is interested in collecting market data/information in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, from potential sources that have the capability to supply one (1) Püchner Model 6000 Bassoon. The Government is seeking vendors that can provide the products cited above.
The North American Standard Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this acquisition is 459140 – Musical Instrument and Supplies Retailers, the small business size standard is $22.5M. Based on responses to this Request for Information (RFI), this requirement may be set aside for Small Business or procured through Full and Open competition. The Government reserves the right to decide whether or not a small business set-aside is appropriate. Interested firms are encouraged to recommend a more appropriate NAICS in their response; however, include the rationale for an alternate selection.
Please see the attached Statement of Work for details on the requirement.
All proprietary information not to be disseminated in Government documents must be clearly identified.
Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, should one be issued.
Please answer the following questions to assist the Government in developing the solicitation of this requirement. All information provided is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
Interested parties should include their company name, address, phone number, POC, CAGE code or UEI.
1. Is your company a SB manufacturer of the items listed in the RFI or an authorized reseller?
2. Is your company capable of providing the above listed items in accordance with the attached SOW and salient characteristics?
3. If yes, is your company capable of providing the items through GSA? (If yes provide your GSA contract #)
4. Is your company registered as a small business for NAICS 459140? And if so, are any SBA socio-economic categories applicable?
5. What is the is the expected lead time for delivery?
6. Please provide any questions you need answered in order to submit a quote with your response to this RFI.
7. This request for information (RFI) is strictly voluntary and is not to be interpreted as a quote in anticipation of a future contract award. Please limit any provided capabilities statement regarding this RFI to three (3) pages.
