About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) Notice issued by AFICC 772 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron for the Air Force Civil Engineering Center regarding a vehicle-mounted mobile LiDAR mapping system.

The Air Force seeks to identify firms capable of providing either a Leica Pegasus TRK700 Neo Mobile Mapping System or equivalent equipment. The primary platform must be a high-speed, vehicle-mounted mobile mapping system capable of collecting ≥2,000,000 points per second with dual LiDAR sensors, operating at speeds up to 80 mph. Required integrated components include a 13" iPad Pro Collector with control unit, mounting and rigging architecture (rotational-tilting mount and universal roof-rack components), multi-camera imaging array (butterfly side, rear, and front camera kits), onboard power and storage suite (removable SSD-Kits of 2 TB each, minimum four units, and hot-swappable battery units), high-accuracy positioning and GNSS integration components (secondary GNSS antenna kit, multi-frequency GNSS antenna, magnetic mount, antenna cables, and authorization codes), processing software and algorithms (Cyclone Pegasus OFFICE Permanent License with 1-year maintenance, Cyclone 3DR Pro Edition Permanent License with 5-year maintenance, coordinate system management software, GIS/survey data bundle floating licenses, and trajectory post-processing/sensor fusion software with 1-year maintenance), and a mobile field workstation computer. Equivalent equipment must provide the same integrated functionalities, specifically a tightly coupled, multi-sensor positioning architecture that dynamically blends Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) to prevent drift and data gaps in GNSS-denied environments.

Responses must be submitted electronically to jake.piorkowski@us.af.mil or toby.carnes.1@us.af.mil by August 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM central time and shall not exceed 5 pages. The RFI requests capability statements addressing business name, address, point of contact information, CAGE Code, Unique Entity ID, NAICS codes, business type (identifying applicable small business designations under NAICS 334111 with a size standard of 1,250 employees), equipment brand/model with detailed specifications, GSA Schedule availability, availability on other Government contracts, and ability to meet salient characteristics. This notice is for market research and planning purposes only and does not constitute a binding commitment to award a contract or pay for response preparation costs.
