Crash Fire Training Facility Maintenance, Dover Air Force Base, DE

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The 436th Contracting Squadron is seeking sources for a potential service contract at Dover Air Force Base (AFB). Dover AFB anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price (FFP) service contract under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541350, Engineering Services with the small business size standard of $11.5M.

The purpose of this Sources Sought/Synopsis is to conduct market research to determine if responsible small business concerns exist for a potential competitive small business set aside. The Sources Sought/Synopsis is to determine potential sources, for information, and for planning purposes only. This Sources Sought/Synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract.

Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought/Synopsis. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought/Synopsis. If adequate responses are not received from the above-mentioned concerns, the acquisition may be solicited in another manner.

This service contract will require services to inspect, maintain and repair the Crash Fire Rescue Training Facility (CFRTF) and Live Burn Training Facility (LBTF) as well as training props to include the car trainer, Liquid Petroleum Vessel, Confined Space Maze System and HAZMAT Prop at Dover AFB, Delaware in a manner that will ensure their serviceability and prevent deterioration in value or effectiveness.

The maximum anticipated contract amount (initial contract period and all four option periods) is approximately $160K. The service contract will be a firm-fixed price (FFP) service contract that provides maintenance and repair of the Crash Fire Rescue Training Facility (CFRTF) and Live Burn Training Facility (LBTF) as well as training props to include the car trainer, Liquid Petroleum Vessel, Confined Space Maze System and HAZMAT Prop. The contract term will be for a base period (12 months or less) with four (4) 12-month option periods and a six (6) month extension option period.

All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal for the future requirement must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
