About this file

This is a Sources Sought Notice issued by the Bureau of Reclamation for market research purposes regarding a tentative requirement for dredging equipment and related supplies, with an anticipated need date of September 30, 2026.

The solicitation seeks four line items using NAICS 333120 (Construction machinery manufacturing). Line Item 1 is a pontoon-mounted dredge system equivalent to or better than a Piranha Pump 135E, consisting of two pumps (dredge and agitator), hoses, and pontoon flotation. The dredge pump requires minimum 8 horsepower, self-priming capability, 3-inch quick disconnect couplings, high chrome iron semi-open impeller, and ability to maintain approximately 165 gpm at 60 feet of Total Dynamic Head while weighing no more than 170 pounds. The agitator pump requires minimum 5.5 horsepower with similar specifications at reduced capacity (80 gpm at 100 feet). The pontoon must accommodate 14-foot dredging depth and weigh 395 pounds or less. Line Item 2 is a standalone booster pump with identical dredge pump specifications. Line Item 3 comprises spare parts including impeller, inner casing, wear plate, mechanical seal, o-rings, and drain plug kit. Line Item 4 specifies extra hose sections totaling 600 feet of 3-inch PVC lay-flat discharge hose and 175 feet of 3-inch suction/discharge hose with quick disconnect couplings. Interested companies must submit a Capability Statement including socio-economic status and small business classification via email to Contracting Specialist Melissa Parkison at melissa_parkison@ios.doi.gov by August 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time. This Sources Sought is for information gathering only; no awards will be made based on responses, and the Bureau of Reclamation has made no commitment to issue a Request for Quotation or incur any obligations related to responses received.
