Background

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), New York Laboratory Medical Products (NYLMP) in the Office of Regulatory Science (ORS), Office of Medical Products and Specialty Lab Operations (OMPSLO), located at 158-15 Liberty Avenue, Jamaica, NY, 11433 is experiencing a significant growth in the demand for sterility testing. As part of NYLMP commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality cGMP/cGLP, ISO/IEC 17025-2005, ISO 9001:2008, and 21 CFR 11, which are crucial for meeting accreditation requirements, there is a recognized need to enhance NYLMP’s infrastructure by incorporating isolators. The recent surge in demand has strained the lab’s existing resources, potentially causing bottlenecks in our analytical processes.

To effectively address this challenge and continue to deliver accurate and timely results, it is imperative to acquire one isolator to enhance NYLMP analytical capabilities. This strategic move will not only alleviate the current strain on resources but also enhance NYLMP’s capabilities in sterility analysis, ensuring continued adherence to the highest industry standards

Purpose mailto:Yolanda.rankin@fda.hhs.gov
