Army Contracting Center-Rock Island Sources Sought Notice

PREFACE:
This is a United States Army Sources Sought Notice for the acquisition of Bearing, Ball Annular, for the turret program.
OBJECTIVES:
The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI), Rock Island, IL, in support of the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC), is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to determine if there are companies interested and able to provided NIIN 016162481 Bearing, Ball Annular.
INTENT:
The United States Government (USG) is pursuing the potential procurement of a Bearing, Ball Annular manufactured in varying volumes over several years. The manufacturing of the bearing would be in accordance with the drawing RIA 154930.
DESCRIPTION:
The RIA154930 / NIIN 016162481 Bearing Ball or Slew Bearing is a component of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle / Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle Turret. There is one Bearing Ball used in one Turret assembly. The Bearing Ball is made of aluminum alloy 6061-T6 or 5083-O per ASTM or SAE specification finished inner and outer race anodize type 11, class 2, color black per MIL-A-8625, as indicated on drawing RIA154930.
TESTING AND DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACTOR:
Any interested contractors would be required to provide NIIN 016162481 in accordance with the drawing and provide a Certified Test Report (CTR) and Certificate of Conformance (COC) at the time of delivery for inspection by the Government.
Current Requirement:
USG has a current requirement for a quantity of 1,500 EA to be delivered in early 2022 with the possibility of future requirements for years to come.
Delivery:
Contractors would need to provide the bearing in accordance with the drawing, provide a CTR and COC, and deliver in early 2022.

Replies to this questionnaire must be received no later than 10:00am CT on Wednesday, 17 Nov 2021. Your input is voluntary and no compensation will be made for your participation in this survey.
PROPRIETARY INFORMATION:
The USG acknowledges its obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 1905: The Trade Secrets Act to protect confidential information provided to the USG. Pursuant to this statute, the USG is willing to accept proprietary restrictions placed upon data presented in response to this survey and to protect such information from unauthorized disclosure, subject to the following:

Response to this survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned and will be used for program planning purposes. The Government will not accept requests for meetings or briefings. No phone solicitations or emails with regards to the status of an RFP will be accepted.
