CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT

SAFFORD, ARIZONA

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for the replacement of culvert pipes at (3) locations on Haekel Road, located approximately 30 miles southeast of Safford, AZ. The work consists of replacing existing (5) pipes with (5) new 57” x 38” galvanized steel pipe-arch culverts on Slick Rock culvert bridge. At the second site, replacing (2) 24” Round x 40’ length pipes with (2) new 49” x 33” x

40’ galvanized steel pipe-arch culverts. At the third site, replacing existing (1) pipe 30” x 24” with new

30” x 24” galvanized steel pipe-arch culvert.

The estimated project magnitude of construction is $250,000.00 – $350,000.00.

This Sources Sought (SS) is intended as a means of conducting market research, which will help determine the best method for the anticipated solicitation and subsequent award. The applicable North

American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this requirement is 237310, “Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction”. The small business size standard is $39.5 million. FAR

52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, will apply wherein at least 15 percent of the work must be performed by the small business prime contractor and similarly situated small business subcontractors.
