About this file
This is a Statement of Need for an extended warranty and support contract for CyberSecure Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS) hardware belonging to three organizations at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.
The contract covers a 36-month period from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, and requires provision of 3-Year Extended Hardware Warranty and Support for CyberSecure IPS equipment across three organizational locations. The hardware inventory includes four 4-Port Interceptor CS units, three 8-Port Interceptor CS units, two 32-Port Stoplight units, and one 8-Port Stoplight unit distributed among the three organizations. Each organization operates an alarmed Protected Distribution System (PDS) that requires 24/7/365 monitoring to support classified network infrastructure and maintain compliance with Air Force security requirements, specifically (S) AFI 33-214 Volume 1 and TEMPEST standards. The necessity for recurring hardware warranty and support renewal is indefinite, as the organizations are expected to continue requiring these capabilities with no anticipated alleviation of requirements. Delivery locations for all warranty and support services are specified as Kirtland AFB, NM 87117. The contract involves the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) and includes provisions for an ombudsman to facilitate resolution of offeror concerns, as well as standard federal requirements regarding ozone-depleting substances and health and safety compliance on government installations.
