STATEMENT OF WORK
Statement of Work H2133 Tent Fabric Structure Rewrapping and Updating & Refurbishing
F-35 Integrated Test Force
1.0 BACKGROUND
The F-35 Integrated Test Force (ITF) must update the existing aging, failing and worn membrane on the Tent Fabric Structures (TFS) located on the B2133 aircraft apron. The two existing TFS structures serve as critical storage locations in support of the F-35 BLK4 Program. Without the TFSs being updated or refurbishing the existing components such as new coverings, doors, LED lighting, electrical, fans, and venting, the program may experience delays to high priority testing or face possible damage to assets needed for testing.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 The NAS Patuxent River, MD F-35 Integrated Test Force (ITF) has a requirement to rewrap and update the existing two small TFSs located on the aircraft apron of B2133. This is required to give increased lifespan to the structures and better protection from the elements for the critical assets stored inside. In addition to the rewrapping, air circulation fans, new doors, fans/venting, LED lighting, and electrical work will be required. If applicable, the existing framing, cabling, electrical, and tensioning can be reused/refurbished if in serviceable condition and indicates appropriate lifecycle remains.
Location and orientation of TFSs (circled in Red) on the B2133 Aircraft Apron
2.2 Physical dimensions of each TFSs needing rewrapped are as follows:
a) Total Length: 48’

b) Frame Members: 18” heavy wall ASTM B-6 Zinc tubular steel. Fabric ended at 7’ above the base of the shelter with side panels added to the ground.
c) Foundation: Add an appropriate skirt seal and anchoring to secure base and shelter to foundation.
d) Welding: All weld joints coated for corrosion protection.
e) General Assembly/connections: All Connections via a slip fit (or equivalent) bolted junction.
f) Lightning Protection: Each shelter has lightning protection terminal kits at each end, terminated to “ground”.
g) Doors: A solid aluminum panel “man door” (36” x 80”) with frame, doorknob, and an access end panel with 24’W X 12’H disappearing fabric door on a track and trolley system operated via electric winch as specified in item “h”. A backup mechanical hand winch will be required.
h) Electric winch: 120V/single phase/60Hz power supply. Includes mounting hardware and plug.
i) Misc.: Cabling will be built into the shelter with new tensioning ratchets or mechanical tensioning (i.e., rods, carriage bolts, etc.) installed.
j) Fans: Qty 2 36” exhaust fan with frame and wiring and QTY 2 36” fixed louvered vents with frame.
k) Lighting: Qty 4 LED light kits includes LED fixtures, wiring, mounting hardware, and switches.
